AS-120 - Activation Announcement

A team of radio amateurs from Cyprus (5B8AP Andreas,
5B4MF Spyros,
5B4AHE Tamer,
5B4ZN Philip and
5B4XF Paris)
is planning to activate the "Agios Georgios" islet off the coast of Akamas, Cyprus. (IOTA AS-120) on Saturday, Sept
26 2009. It's been two years since the island was last activated during the IOTA Contest in 2007.
The plan
Weather and sea conditions permitting, we plan to set off from the Latchi harbour early Saturday morning.
If all goes well we should be on the air by 06:00 UTC. We will set up two stations (no amplifiers - max power 100W)
with vertical antennas. We'll work at least on 10, 15 and 20m bands SSB.
We will leave the island no later than 16:00 UTC of the same day.
Each operator will use his own callsign /P. QSL via home calls. See QRZ.com for each callsign
for more information.
